Thief destroys display case, steals dozens of cosmetic eye lenses in Nanaimo, says RCMP

Nanaimo RCMP searching for a theif who stole cosmetic eye lenses

Nanaimo RCMP are searching for a man who stole around 150 pairs of cosmetic eye lenses from a party story.

According to the RCMP report, the theft took place around 5:50pm on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Patties Party Palace, located at 4890 Rutherford Road.

Investigators said that upon arriving on scene, they were told by employees that the male suspect entered the store and headed straight to a display case containing nearly 350 pairs of eye lenses. Employees said the man proceeded to break the display case, taking half of it with him as he ran out of the store. According to a police report, he was last seen running through the parking lot.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, 25-35 years old, medium build and medium height. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a dark jacket, jeans and a dark hat with a logo on the front.

Nanaimo RCMP are asking if you have any information regarding the suspect or the theft to please call the non-emergency line at 250-754-2345.
