WATCH: The Victoria Royals fell 7-0 to the Tri-City Americans Friday night in game 1 of the best-of-seven second round WHL Playoff series at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
The Royals had a quick turnaround after wrapping up their grueling 7-game series with the Vancouver Giants on Tuesday night, while the well-rested Americans enjoyed a week off after sweeping the Kelowna Rockets in the first round. The talented Americans seemed to capitalize on every scoring opportunity, while the Royals were stymied by Tri-City goaltender Patrick Dea. Game 2 goes Saturday night, 7:05PM at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre.
