Suspicious package found at Victoria courthouse, authorities on scene

Police and sheriff’s vehicles outside the Victoria courthouse Monday morning. Police are investigating a suspicious package found.

Victoria police is currently investigating a report of a suspicious package found at the Provincial courthouse on Burdett Avenue.

We currently are on scene in the area of the court house for a suspicious package that was located outside. Expect traffic delays in the area while we investigate. #yyjtraffic

The courthouse has been evacuated and cordoned off by police, and surrounding roads are blocked while the investigation happens.

The call came shortly before 10 a.m.
