
West Shore RCMP have a suspect in custody after an afternoon search saw Emergency Response teams shut down a Langford neighbourhood.
Police respond into an Incident at the 700 block of Walfred Road in Langford this morning. We now have one male suspect in custody police are lifting their containment, and Our investigation is continuing. We are working to provide an update to our previous media release.

Shortly after 10:15 a.m., Feb. 25, West Shore RCMP responded to an incident regarding an assault. According to reports, the suspect fled before their arrival.
Police then shut down the area surrounding the 700 block of Walfred Road in Langford.
The Emergency Response Team, along with K9 and RCMP Air 1 worked to locate the suspect.

When CHEK arrived at the scene officers could be seen with their service rifles drawn, blocking the road with their cruisers.
