Victoria Police says officers have made an arrest in connection to an assault that left a man with serious injuries.
On Monday around 2:30 p.m., police were called to a multi-unit residential building in the 3000-block of Douglas Street after getting a report a man was injured after being assaulted with a weapon.
The victim was taken to hospital and is still receiving medical care.
Police arrested the suspect after being located in the 3100-block of Douglas Street.
There were no injuries in the arrest.
Police say it is believed this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the public.
