Stolen boat may have been spotted on water early Friday morning, VicPD says

Victoria Police is investigating after a boat was stolen sometime overnight, and may have been spotted travelling early Friday morning.

A report came to the police around 9:30 a.m. Friday that an 11-foot Avon boat was stolen from the rear of another boat moored near the 2900-block of Jutland Road.

The boat is inflatable and motorized and is valued at around $35,000.

Police say the boat may have been observed on the water travelling in the area of the Johnson Street Bridge sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
