Health Canada announced an expanded recall of Spirit Halloween’s feather boas to include the hot pink colour because of burn risk.
Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program determined the product did not meet the requirements for textile flammability.
If exposed to flames such as candles, matches or lighters, Health Canada says a boa or the angel wings that were previously recalled could catch fire and cause burns to consumers.
Previous recalls took place in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

The company has not received any reports of incidents or injuries to consumers in Canada using the costumes.
Health Canada reports 576 hot pink boas and 490 of other colours were bought at Spirit Halloween stores in Canada between August 2012 and October 2017.
They are manufactured in China.
Health Canada says if you own a recalled feathered boa or angel wings to dispose of it or take it to Spirit Halloween for a refund.
