The BC SPCA Comox Valley branch is asking for the public's help to cover the medical costs to treat Marshall, a puppy that was recently brought into the branch's care.

The Comox Valley SPCA is hoping a puppy named Marshall can get a helping hand from the public for the costs to help bring him back to health.

Branch manager Emily Priestley says Marshall was surrendered to the SPCA by his owner, who realized he needed more care than could be provided.

The SPCA says the puppy arrived with painful sores and lesions over most of his body and will need treatment for mange.

Marshall is also underweight and in his weakened state, the SPCA says he has developed a secondary infection.

“Marshall will need a lot of care and love to become a normal, healthy puppy,” Priestly said in a statement.

You can make a donation to help Marshall or other animals in need by in the Comox Valley district by visiting the branch or online.

The Comox Valley branch is located at 1668 Ryan Road East in Comox.
