SoundCHEK: UVic Jazz Ensemble improvise original music for silent film

WATCH: The 24 piece UVic Jazz Ensemble is gearing up to present an original live soundtrack to the 1925 silent film “Battleship Potemkin”. However, audiences shouldn’t expect to hear typical silent movie music… as a large portion of the score will be improvised on the spot. Videographer Steve Grebanier caught up with the group at a rehearsal.
