A new Sonic the Hedgehog design was seen in a new trailer on Nov. 12, 2019.
It’s another kick at the can for the creators of an upcoming Hollywood movie filmed on Vancouver Island back in 2018.
The new and improved Sonic the Hedgehog made his debut in a new trailer released on Nov. 12.
The creators had to go back to the drawing board after releasing the first trailer in April, which horrified fans and sparked major backlash. Fans said the Sonic looked drastically different from the loveable hedgehog from the Sega video game series.
Fans have applauded the redesign.
The $90-million budgeted film was shot on Vancouver Island, with Ladysmith transformed for the movie.
Some scenes were also filmed along Highway 19 near Bowser.
“Sonic the Hedgehog,” starring Jim Carrey and James Marsden, comes out on Feb. 14, 2020,
