Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Courtenay to Campbell River for Monday morning.

The weather agency is warning of five to 10 centimetres of snow accumulation for the region.

“A low pressure centre over the Washington coast is spreading heavy snow to the northern sections of East Vancouver Island near Campbell River,” Environment Canada says on its website. “The snow is expected to ease later this morning.”

Environment Canada is also warning drivers to use caution as the rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult and the driving conditions could rapidly change.
