Drivers are dealing with adverse conditions on the Malahat Friday with heavy snow falling at the summit.
Travellers on Highway 1 are reporting on social media of long delays, with reports of a motor vehicle incident near the Shawnigan Lake turnoff. At around 11:20 a.m., Drive B.C. said there are still winter driving conditions on the Malahat and visibility is still reduced. Drivers may continue to see delays.

Drive B.C. is also reporting Highway 4 has compact snow and slushy and slippery sections.

There is compact snow with slushy sections on Head Bay Road from Tahsis to Gold River.
Slippery sections are being reported on Highway 19 from the Sayward Road junction to Nimpkish.
