Saanich RCMP officers investigate after a six-year-old girl was struck in a crosswalk by a northbound vehicle travelling on Glanford Avenue.

Saanich police believe the injuries to a six-year-old girl are non-life threatening after she was struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk early Monday morning.

Police are looking to find the suspect vehicle that drove away from the incident.

The girl was struck by the northbound vehicle at the intersection of Glanford Avenue and Kenneth Street, just north of McKenzie Avenue.

Investigators are looking for a late-80s or early-90s white box-shaped Honda, with damage to its passenger side mirror.

Police were diverting traffic around the area of the collision, but Glanford is now fully opened.
