A B.C. company is recalling some of its vitamins because they may contain small pieces of glass.
Sisu, which is based in Burnaby, said it is voluntarily recalling some of the 100cc size glass bottles used for the packaging certain Sisu vitamin products from October 2015 to March 2016.
According to the company, a manufacturing problem left a small piece of glass on bottom-inside surface of the bottles.
The glass fragment could become detached during packaging and handling, and there may be injuries if the glass is ingested or handled.
The company has received one complaint and there have been no injuries reported at this time. Health Canada has been notified, as has the manufacturer and distributor of the defective bottles.
Anyone in Canada who has bought the recalled products can return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund or exchange. Products must be returned by March 31, 2018.
