Campbell River RCMP was able to track down a man Wednesday morning involved in a series of violent incidents that started on Sunday.

Police say an assault happened Oct. 21 where a 30-year-old man reportedly struck his girlfriend.

According to police, the suspect fled from the residence on an ATV and officers could not locate him.

The same suspect allegedly broke into a home early Wednesday morning and caused a large amount of damage.

Investigators say once inside the house, the man threated two people, damaged a vehicle outside and fled again on the same ATV.

Mounties were able to finally locate the suspect who they say was behaving erratically and acting violent, and police efforts to catch him went through back roads and rural areas south of Campbell River.

The man was arrested without incident and is in custody facing charges including break and enter, uttering threats, assault and mischief.
