WATCH: After a weeks worth of world-class tennis, Seattle’s Gail Brodsky came out on top as the winner of the 2018 EncoreFX Women’s International ITF Championship at the Panorama Recreation Centre.
The first set of the match belonged to Brodsky’s opponent, Maegan Manasee, who controlled the game with her strong forehand and backhand returns to take the first set 6-3.
The second set saw the momentum swing to Brodsky, as she collected herself and took the second set handily, 6-2.
The third and final set was another strong performance for Brodsky, who continued her strong play and wound up winning the third set 6-3 to take the championship.
This is Brodsky’s second title at Panorama, as she won the same tournament back in 2014. Fans filled the recreation centre all week to see the women on the court, some of whom are up and coming on the world stage.
