WATCH: Now in its fifth day, the search for 41-year-old ben Kilmer is still underway.  His vehicle was found abandoned running on Wednesday, with his personal articles inside. Isabelle Raghem reports.

More than 60 search and rescue members from across the Vancouver Island joined forces today, leaving no stone unturned.

They are looking for 41-year-old Ben Kilmer who was last seen Wednesday morning.

Surveillance video shows the missing Cobble Hill man at a job site that morning with his work truck, the van was later found abandoned along Cowichan Lake Road with the engine running.

“We are looking for Ben or any sign that Ben has been in the areas that we are searching,” said Shauneen Nichols, the Duty Search and Rescue Manager.

The search has entered its fifth day, and police are calling the disappearance suspicious. Adding to the worry, blood was found inside the car.

“We are constantly liaising with the RCMP, of anything found, or nothing found, the areas covered,” added Nichols. “Everything that has come in so far has been ruled out.”

Signs can be seen on the roadside around the search area. Crews have also been paddling up and down the Cowichan River.

Family and friends were too emotional to speak on camera today, but insist the father of two young children would never leave his family.

“I would very much like to thank families of the searchers that we have here for giving up a day with their loved ones, to help this family find their loved one,” said Nichols.

Three GoFundMe pages have been set up to help with search efforts. The first one can be found here, the second here and the third here.
