Sooke School District (SD62) announced Saturday evening that David Cameron Elementary recently experienced a COVID-19 exposure.

Students and staff at a school in Colwood may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Sooke School District (SD62) announced Saturday evening that David Cameron Elementary recently experienced a COVID-19 exposure.

Potential dates of exposure are Feb. 22, 23, and 24.

The district says Island Health is completing contact tracing.

Island Health defines an exposure as “the presence of lab-confirmed COVID-19 case(s) in the school” during the period when a person is infectious.

David Cameron Elementary, located on Meaford Avenue in Colwood, is one of two schools in the Greater Victoria region to experience an exposure recently, the other being Glanford Middle School in Saanich.
