WATCH: Police issue warning after two sexual assaults in Gordon head, less than two weeks apart. Isabelle Raghem reports.

Saanich Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man after two similar sexual assaults in Gordon Head, two weeks apart.

Both took place when women walked away from their group to pee in bushes.

The first assault took place in the 4000 block of Larchwood Dr. on June 11 near midnight.

Saanich police say the suspect jumped off of his bike, landed on the woman and sexually assaulted her.

The second assault took place Friday, June 23rd around 11:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of Torquay Dr. — less than 2 km away from where the first incident took place.

There an unknown man ran at a woman, knocked her to the ground and then stood overtop of her as he sexually assaulted her.

The man’s description is the same in both assaults.

He is described as a white male between the ages of 18-25, with a thin build, thin face, and brown hair.

He was wearing blue jeans, a grey hoodie.

His bicycle is described as black or dark grey with red rim tires.

Anyone with information on either incidents is asked to contact Saanich Police at 250-475-4321 or to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
