Saanich police are asking for the public’s help after a woman reported that a man exposed himself and approached her near the Gordon Head area.
Officers say the victim was walking along Feltham Road by Shelbourne Street Saturday night around 11:20 when the man exposed himself and then tried to engage in conversation.
The woman ran to a nearby 7-Eleven store where two bystanders came to her aid and called police.
The suspect is described as a 60-year-old man with a medium build and a long face with bushy eyebrows. He was wearing a dark hoody, grey pants, a dark baseball hat and a black backpack.
Anyone with information on the incident or suspect is asked to call them at 250-475-4321 or CrimeStoppers.
Officers are reminding the public to be vigilant of their surroundings while walking alone and to always carry a cell phone.
