
Saanich police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the Gorge area earlier this month.
According to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers, the robbery occurred on Oct. 8 around 1:25 a.m. at a convenience store along Burnside Road West.
Shortly after the suspect entered the store, they pulled out a black “revolver style handgun” and pointed it at staff while demanding cash and cigarettes.
Staff handed over the items and the man fled the shop. He is believed to have used a bicycle to get away from the area.

Witnesses describe the suspect as having a male voice and standing 6’1” with a slim build.
He was wearing a grey and black face covering, a grey hoodie, a red and black flannel shirt and an orange and dark blue toque at the time. He was also wearing blue jeans, black shoes, and black and grey work gloves.
