Saanich police are asking for the public’s help in locating a black four-door Mercedes after the driver allegedly fled a crash early Friday morning.
Police said at around 6 a.m., the driver of a black-four door Mercedes was going west on Burnside Road East when they drove through a red light at the intersection of Harriet Road.
The driver T-boned a Dodge Caravan that was going north through a green light on Harried Road, police said. The Mercedes then spun into two other vehicles waiting at the red light on the other side of the Burnside Road West intersection.

Police said the driver of the Mercedes fled west on Burnside Road West after the crash. The driver of the Dodge Caravan suffered what appeared to be minor injuries.
According to police, the Mercedes likely has significant damage on the rear drivers’ side. Anyone who saw the crash, know who the driver is or has seen the vehicle is asked to call Saanich police at 250-475-4321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
