A motorcycle, compound bow, and over 20 edge weapons are among the items recovered by the Saanich Police following a recent investigation.

On May 7, according to Saanich Police, officers from their Street Crime Unit along with members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a home in the 900-block of Cloverdale Avenue, where they located drugs, weapons, and over $25,000 in stolen property.

Among the stolen property included a motorcycle, bicycles, and power tools that were all connected to break and enters and thefts across the region, according to the Saanich Police, who said they are in the process of returning the stolen property to their owners.

The stolen items weren’t the only things Saanich Police officers found at the home.

“In addition to the stolen property and drugs found in the home, the sheer volume of weapons found inside was also concerning. The items included replica firearms, a compound bow, and over 20 edge weapons such as hatchets and homemade blades,” said Const. Markus Anastasiades in a press release.

Saanich Police say the recovery of the items stems from an investigation, during which, officers saw drug trafficking “behavior coming and going” from the Cloverdale Avenue home to areas throughout the region, including the encampments at Topaz Park and along the 900 block of Pandora Avenue.

Three people were taken into custody but no charges have been filed yet as the investigation is still ongoing.
