A large bear was spotted roaming through a backyard in the Hartland area of Saanich on Tuesday afternoon prompting another warning from Saanich Police.
The bear was seen around 4 p.m.
Saanich Police officers attended and determined the animal was not aggressive and seemed to be habituated to people.
A BC Conservation officer was advised.
It comes after what is likely the same bear was spotted on Sunday not far away in the 3900 block of West Saanich Road and the 5800 block of Wallace Drive.
Once again, residents are encouraged to properly store their waste and compost bins in order to discourage bears and other wildlife from coming in contact with people.
