Saanich police are seeking witnesses into their investigation of an 89-year-old man’s death after being struck by a vehicle this week.
The incident happened Wednesday at 5 p.m. on Royal Oak Drive, near Pipeline Road.
The man was taken to the hospital by emergency crews but passed away a short time later.
Police say the driver of the truck remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with officers, who are working to determine the exact details of the incident.
Saanich PD says on that particular stretch of Royal Oak Drive, there is no designated crossing area.
Authorities are asking for any witnesses to call Saanich Police.
