Two vehicles were impounded after they were caught racing along a busy Vancouver Island Highway.
According to the Saanich Police Department, one of their officers caught a Ford Mustang and a Jeep Wrangler travelling at speeds of 130 km/h along Patricia Bay Highway, near MacKenzie Avenue, on Saturday night.
The two vehicles were “apparently racing” each other at the time, according to the department.
Saanich PD also says the officer that caught the two vehicles was also responsible for catching a motorist going 178 km/h on the same stretch of highway earlier this month.
Both vehicles were impounded.
On Saturday night, these two vehicles were apparently racing while speeding excessively.
The same officer who, last weekend, caught a motorist travelling 178 kph on Hwy 17, found these drivers going 125-130 kph in the same area of Patricia Bay Highway.
