Three Saanich police officers appear to be fans of 90s music and the latest viral dance craze.
On Tuesday, Saanich police posted a video of three officers completing the Triangle Dance Challenge while Backstreet Boys’ while Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) plays in the background.

The challenge requires three people to link arms and jump around so they appear to come together in a line and spread back out. A different person should be in the middle each time.
According to Know Your Meme, the earliest known recording of the triangle dance was posted on TikTok on Feb. 1, 2019 by user Matthew Jones (@mjtrecer). On TikTok, it became known as the “Milkshake Challenge.” It started getting media attention in March then spread to other platforms.
Saanich police are now challenging Victoria police and Oak Bay police to try the challenge with five people.
