UPDATE: Saanich Police reopen Chatterton Way to traffic after incident

Chatterton Way has been reopened in both directions after a police incident Friday.

The road was reopened around 2 a.m. Saturday, according to Saanich Police. They say officers were conducting an investigation involving a suspicious package.

The package was examined and deemed to not be an explosive by the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team, according to police.

Police say the file remains under investigation.
