Nanaimo RCMP first issued an alert regarding the warrant for Goodale on Feb. 11, saying he was released from a federal penitentiary last month after serving the majority of his sentence for aggravated assault.
Upon his release, Goodale was court-ordered to reside at the Salvation Army in Victoria. RCMP said on Feb. 10, he did not return and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Nanaimo RCMP warned Goodale should be considered violent.
Victoria Police also issued an alert on Feb.16.
Police say Goodale has a lengthy history of criminal convictions for property crime, firearms possession, as well as drug and violent offences.
