Royals losing streak continues in Seattle

WATCH: The Victoria Royals couldn’t stop their winning woes on Saturday night in Seattle, as they fell to the Thunderbirds by a score of 6-4.

Despite a 2-0 deficit after the first period, the Royals stormed back to take a 4-3 lead early in the third period.

However, the Thunderbirds would tie the game shortly after, the puck originally was thought to have been stopped by Royals netminder Brock Gould, but upon video review, the puck crossed the line while it was under Gould’s pad, resulting in the game being tied at 4 all.

Later in the period, the Thunderbirds would score the winner shorthanded; Nolan Volcan’s shot went straight through two players in the slot and past a screened Gould. Seattle would add an empty net goal to seal the deal and take the victory.

The Royals wrap up their three-game-in-three-night trip on Sunday night against the Everett Silvertips, more to come Monday night on CHEK News.
