WATCH: Thanks to the help of the Victoria Royals’ new faces, the boys in blue defeated the Calgary Hitmen 7-3 at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre on Sunday evening, completing their three-game sweep of the weekend.
After defeating the Vancouver Giants on Friday and taking care of the Calgary Hitmen on Saturday, the Royals’ endurance was put to the test, playing their third game in 72 hours. However, the Royals shined on Sunday evening, dominating the Hitmen in the first period, and never looking back. Five of the seven Royals goals were scored by players who weren’t on the roster just two months ago.
The Royals now head down south for a tilt against the Tri-City Americans on Wednesday, before returning home to take on the Medicine Hat Tigers on Friday.
