WATCH: Kaid Oliver scored two clutch goals to help the Victoria Royals take down the Brandon Wheat Kings by a score of 3-1 on Saturday night at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre.

The visitors would open the scoring as Wheaties captain Stelio Mattheos potted his 13th goal of the season to give Brandon the 1-0 lead.

With just seven seconds remaining in the first period, Kaid Oliver would clean up the loose puck in the crease to knot the game after the first 20 minutes.

The game-winning goal would come midway through the third period, as Oliver spun out of the corner and threw a backhander on net which would go through a couple of bodies and past the Wheat Kings netminder for his 9th goal of the year.

Ralph Jarratt would ice an empty-netter from his own defensive face-off circle to secure the 3-1 win for the Royals.

Griffen Outhouse returned to the crease for the home team and made 28 saves on 29 shots in his return between the pipes. The Royals now head on a short road trip where they’ll play the Portland Winterhawks next weekend.
