Road to Recovery: Making gains in the circular economy

CHEK

In this week’s segment of Road to Recovery with Douglas Magazine, CHEK’s Hannah Lepine chats with Laska Pare, founder of Flipside Plastics.

As preserving our natural environment and mitigating climate change becomes an urgent necessity, a new generation of entrepreneurs is stepping up by diverting waste and finding new uses for previously single-use products.

Flipside Plastics, a growing startup based in Victoria produces uniquely designed Canadian-made home goods from recycled plastics, so consumers can experience the benefits of quality design and reduce plastic waste.

By diverting existing waste from the waste stream and turning it into useful long-lasting home goods, they support a circular economy and a brighter future for the planet.

In this segment Pare talks about what inspired the business and all she’s learned since starting Flipside Plastics.
