Road to Recovery: Justin Tse on content marketing advice for businesses in the influencer era


In this week’s segment of Road to Recovery with Douglas Magazine, CHEK’s Jasmine Bala chats with Justin Tse, founder and chief executive officer of Feature Media.

Tse began making online videos on YouTube as a hobby at the age of 13. He started with iPhone case reviews, then worked his way up to phones once he could afford them. A decade later, he’s expanded his content to the tech, lifestyle and home industries. Tse now has more than 700,000 YouTube subscribers with over 100 million video views.

Throughout his time on YouTube, Tse developed skills in online marketing, product promotion, social media management, online sales, and video production — all focusing on consumer technology.

Using all of those skills, Tse founded Feature Media, a business that creates organic digital content to advertise throughout its social portfolio.

Feature Media operates in Downtown Victoria, with a growing team in-house and around the world. Tse has created content for some of the largest brands in the world, including Google, Porsche, Nascar, Amazon and Canon.

Tse discusses in this episode what his YouTube journey has been like, how influencer marketing works and offers advice for business owners looking to capitalize on opportunities provided by social media and content creators.
