Saanich police have been called in after reports of a cougar sighting near Majestic Park in Saanich late Tuesday.
A Majestic Drive resident tells CHEK News that he and his wife found the cougar around 10;30 pm near their house.
He says it jumped up and ran past him and into the park.
His wife went to call police, while he ran across the road to warn a road crew who were working beside the park.
