Both the Westshore Rebels and V.I. Raiders announced some key signings today for the 2017 BC Football Conference season.

The defending Cullen-Cup winning Rebels announced a handful of key contributors to last year’s provincial championship winning team will be returning for 2017.

Shifty running back Trey Campbell, 2016 league defensive team all-star Kent Hicks, and all-star offensive lineman Christian Krause are all set to return. Also, the team welcomes back elusive quarterback Scott Borden. Borden played the first half of the 2016 season but then left to pursue other football opportunities.

Meanwhile the V.I. Raiders are also pleased with their 2017 roster. 2016 League all-stars linebacker Dexter Shea and defensive-back Josh Paisley should lead the defense while the club welcomes back 2013 league rookie of the year, quarterback Jamie Ybarra. The Winnipeg-born Ybarra shined for the Raiders in 2013 but then moved on to junior college in the U.S.
