A man found dead inside a Ucluelet business has sparked an investigation by RCMP and the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit.
Ucluelet RCMP was contacted Tuesday for a report that the man’s body was discovered inside a business on Peninsula Road.
The person who reported the death said they had previously tried contacting the man several times without success. When they entered the business, they found the man deceased, BC RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.
VIIMCU and RCMP are still trying to determine what caused the man’s death, but it has been determined to be suspicious.
The BC Coroners Service is also conducting a “fact-finding” investigation into the unexpected death.
