RCMP are asking the public to keep an eye out for an Interior man who was planning to travel to Vancouver Island but hasn’t been seen since last week.
Logan Lake RCMP are looking for John David Young, 67, who was last seen in Logan Lake on Sept. 21.
Young is from Prince George but was in Logan Lake last week to visit a friend.
He was travelling alone, and after his stop in Logan Lake he was planning to visit a friend in Duncan on Vancouver Island.
Mounties said Friday that they believe Young may have accidentally travelled north on Spences Bridge towards Clinton, and may still be in the Clinton area.
Ground and air searches have since been launched to locate the missing man.
Family members say they are concerned for his well-being and that his absence is out of character.
Young, who may go by “Dave,” is described as a white man who stands 6’ tall and weighs roughly 190 pounds. He has blue eyes and grey, balding hair.
He is believed to be driving a two-tone green 1994 Ford F-250 truck with B.C. licence plate VJ 8409. The truck has a green canopy with black overhead racks, and the front right fender is black.
Two photos of the vehicle can be found below.
Anyone with information on Young or his truck is asked to call the Logan Lake RCMP at 250-523-622, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
