West Shore RCMP says they arrested a teen and are looking for two others connected to an assault and robbery in Langford Thursday.

Police responded to a report of a robbery around 4 p.m. and the complainant told officers her boyfriend had been assaulted by three males behind The Brick store at 2945 Jacklin Road.

RCMP say the suspects are between the ages of 14 and 17-years-old and allegedly took turns assaulting the 17-year-old victim by beating him with a baton.

The victim was robbed of personal items including a wallet before the three left the scene.

Police say the victim knew one of the suspects and provided his identity, and officers shortly afterwards arrested a 15-year-old suspect.

One of the other suspects is described as a Caucasian male between the ages of 14 and 17, 5’6″ tall with a heavier build, with blonde hair.

He was wearing shorts and was last seen walking away near the McDonald’s on the Langford Parkway.

West Shore RCMP says the second suspect is described as a darker skinned male between the ages of 14 and 17, tall and skinny with dark shaggy hair and was wearing grey skinny jeans, black shoes and no shirt.

“This is a disturbing crime. The victim was taken to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries,” said West Shore RCMP Cst. Nancy Saggar.

“We are asking for any witnesses who may have seen this to please come forward to speak to the police. Further if you can identify the two other suspects please report it to us.”

RCMP says you can call the West Shore detachment with information 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
