RCMP in western Saskatchewan are investigating reports of shots fired at a home.

The Mounties say the home is in the Rural Municipality of Brittania, and the shots came from a black, newer model Ford Mustang.

It’s the same vehicle suspected in a similar incident in Lloydminster and an attempted fuel theft in Britannia.

RCMP say at this time, the incidents are not believed to be connected to a deadly stabbing rampage Sunday on the James Smith Cree Nation or the nearby village of Weldon, northeast of Saskatoon.

They are advising people in the immediate area to shelter in place and to not approach suspicious people.

They are also asking people to report sightings of the vehicle or other information to police.
