RCMP responds to reports of distraught male on logging road near Port Alberni

An RCMP Emergency Response Team was called in after reports of a distraught male on a logging road on Mount Arrowsmith near Port Alberni.

The incident began around 4 p.m.

Traffic in and out of the area was blocked off while police responded to the incident.

The RCMP says it ended peacefully around 9 p.m. and the man was taken into custody

More details are expected to be released on Friday.
