An arrest warrant has been issued for Jesse Bennett, who has been reported missing along with his seven-year-old daughter Violet since January this year.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP officers continue to search for Jesse and his daughter Violet and investigators say they have now gathered sufficient evidence to recommend a criminal charge against Jesse.

As a result, a warrant for his arrest has been issued by a Provincial Court.

The two were reported missing after Jesse failed to return Violet to her mother’s custody as ordered by the Victoria Family Court.

Jesse is described as a man, 36-years-old, 5’10”, 160 lbs, with blue eyes and brown hair, possibly shaved head or wearing a hat, with a beard.

Violet is described as a 7-years-old girl, approximately 4 ft tall, weighing 50-60 pounds, with blue eyes and big natural curly hair.

Jesse Bennett is now wanted for Abduction in contravention of a custody order.

Investigators say they are continuing to liaise with Jesse’s family in hopes to further this investigation and ensure Violet’s well-being.

Jesse could be anywhere in Canada at this point, according to North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP.

If you have any information about Jesse or Violet’s whereabouts, please contact the police in your jurisdiction right away or the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-748-5522.
