RCMP in Ladysmith are investigating after gunshots were fired at an unoccupied car earlier this week.

Police say that in the early morning hours of Feb. 18, multiple shots were fired at an unoccupied car that was parked at a home on Stz’uminus First Nations land, just north of Ladysmith.

Mounties say they have scoured the scene, alongside the RCMP Forensic Identification Section.

Now, investigators are hoping anyone with information, dashcam video or home surveillance footage of the area can come forward and speak with police.

“We are limited with the details we can release at this time in order to protect the identity of the investigation,” said Sgt. Tim Desaulniers, acting officer in charge of the Ladysmith RCMP.

Anyone with information or video of the area is asked to contact the Ladysmith RCMP at 250-245-2215.
