In a release Tuesday morning, the government said it is committing $492 million to deliver the projects designed to address housing affordability across a range of income levels and a housing crisis for middle-class families.
The first set of selected undertakings will see five projects in Victoria, three in Nanaimo and two each in Esquimalt and Port Alberni.
There will be one project each for Saanich, Campbell River, Bowser, Ladysmith, Langford and for Salt Spring Island, Hornby Island and Cortes Island.
