The Prince George RCMP is seeking help from the public to locate a man wanted for sexually-related offences from an incident that occurred in 2017.

According to Prince George RCMP, the male suspect is believed to be living somewhere on Vancouver Island.

In August 2017, Prince George RCMP said officers launched a sexual assault investigation involving 38-year-old Christopher Lloyd Dixon and a female under the age of 18.

The results of the investigation led to BC Prosecution Service approving charges against Dixon for sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual exploitation.

Two years later, Dixon failed to appear in court in September 2019 and a warrant for his arrest was issued.

Prince George RCMP now believes that Dixon is located in the central part of Vancouver Island, possibly the Campbell River area. A police report highlights both Black Creek or Cedar to be possible places for Dixon’s whereabouts. He also has a connected history in Nanaimo, according to police.

Christopher Lloyd Dixon is described as a caucasian male, who is around 5’9 in height, 168 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information about Dixon or where he may be, RCMP are asking the public to contact their local Detachment or police of jurisdiction in your area.

Prince George RCMP adds if you provide information that leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward.
