A Port Hardy store says they are getting ready to get the title as the Islands first pot shop if a final inspection from the province is passed.

Stellar Jay Organics says they are the first on the Island with conditional approval, meaning that tentatively by next week they will be allowed to start ordering and selling cannabis products if they complete the inspection.

Run by married couple Serena Neumerschitsky and Tristan Radzik the business is a “white to white” market shop, meaning they will only have been open under the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch’s permission.

“We are so excited, its been a lot of work, a lot of hard teamwork… as someone who is island born and raised I am super stoked,” said Neumerschitsky.

“Come and check out port hardy, the North Island is beautiful and we are excited to help out the tourism market… and enjoy the greenery in more ways than one”

The store can be found in unit five on 9250 Trustee Road. They will likely sell pre-rolls and oils first followed by flowers and seeds later in 2019.
