
The Port Alberni Fire Department says crews are responding to a motor vehicle accident along the Highway 4 detour route.
The crash happened on Bamfield Road, 32 kilometres south of Port Alberni, according to fire crews in a tweet at 12:21 p.m. They say commuters in the area should expect delays.
Around 1 p.m., a spokesperson with the fire department told CHEK News that crews were arriving on scene. He said the incident involved two vehicles but was unsure if anyone was hurt.
