A woman Victoria police says was allegedly trafficking drugs throughout the capital region was arrested following a month-long investigation.

VicPD says with the help of West Shore RCMP, officers seized more than $30,000 worth of drugs and a vehicle.

Police began their case against the woman in March and arrested her April 5 in the 2800-block of Jacklin Road in Langford.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers came across a thousand individually pre-packaged drugs suspected to be fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.

Investigators believe the drugs are linked to organized crime on the lower mainland.

The woman was released on a promise to appear in court and police are recommending charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and driving while prohibited.

The vehicle will be forwarded to the province’s civil forfeiture office.
