The Saanich Police Department is currently seeking witnesses after a bronze statue went missing from a local burial park over the Easter long weekend.
The statue was located at the entrance to the mausoleum at Royal Oak Burial Park, located on Falaise Drive, and police say it was stolen “at some point” over the Easter weekend.
Investigators say the statue was last seen on Thursday, April 1.
Police believe suspects were able to dislodge the 5-foot-tall bronze piece from the base by breaking or cutting the fasteners.
