Oak Bay police are on the lookout for a woman who is suspected of breaking into someone’s home and stealing a pricey laptop.
The break-in and theft occurred around 9:50 a.m. on March 28, at a home in the 1600-block of Wilmot Place.
Once inside, police say the woman swiped a laptop valued at $1,400. The suspect then left the area on foot.
“While we know that the pictures look like they were taken with a potato, we are hopeful someone might recognize this suspect,” said Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers in a social media post Friday.
Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can be submitted anonymously over the phone, or on the Crime Stoppers website.
